Cohorts

Cohorts allow you to mark a user in order to analyze users individually instead of all at once. Each user may be assigned an unlimited number of cohorts, allowing a user to be present in several cohorts at once. This enables you to track conversion from various sources, to regulate prices depending on the user country, to track how your actions affect retention, and much more.

Creating cohorts

There are three different ways of creating cohorts:

  1. manually via theUsers interface
  2. setting up an automatic rule for creating cohorts
  3. via programming code when a given event occurs. Several comma-delimited cohorts may be created at once.

window.airgrow.engage({"cohort": "top-100,price-usd"})

The new cohorts will soon appear in the interface.

Obtaining a user cohort

The list of cohorts linked to a user can be accessed in the variable window.airgrow.cohorts. For security, cohort names are replaced with cohort IDs. You can see which cohort an ID corresponds to in the Cohorts section.
